Our "Trails and Tales" walking group runs monthly walks on Dartmoor under the supervision of a qualified and experienced leader. Walks usually take place on the first Saturday of the month, but in the event of unsuitable weather may be postponed until the following week.
The group meets in the car park below the church at 9.30 am on the day of the walk, where transport can be provided to the starting point. Most walks are somewhere between six and seven miles in length, and are taken at a leisurely pace to return to Plympton in the middle of the afternoon. Usually a donation of £1 per person is given for charity. People taking part in the walks should bring a packed lunch and wear suitable clothing and footwear. Children must be accompanied by responsible adults.
