John I have to say I am pleasantly surprised and quite impressed, as you did say I would be. Not that I doubted you of course. Well done! See you soon.

Looking at the history page brought back memories of time spent at the original Ridgeway church c1950-60. I will try to get hold of some photographs from that period for this website.

Last Monday when we played football again, we missed our star from Plympton: John Haley, who shot 5 goals last time. It's only one week ago...do you remember? We like thinking back to your visit here in Germany and everybody is looking foreward to our visit at your parish. I hope we will play football in Plympton too. God bless you and your parish, Gunter.

Hi, this is Hanne, the girlfriend of Bolle. We really enjoyed the time with John and Fiona here at Heubach City ;-)) It was nice to meet you and learn a lot of new things about English and German use in speech and behavior! I´m looking forward to our trip to England in autumn and to meet all the English people from your church! Much blessings, Hanne.

Hello, my English is not the best but John Haley spoke to us in the service on Sunday. Write in the guestbook. OK so I'm writing. Greetings to Ridgeway Methodist Church and Evangelische Kirche Heubach. Bye, Bolle/Roley.

Hello, this day (Sunday, the 30.7.2006) preacher John Haley has given a sermon here in the St.Ulrichskirche. This was a very good experience. Please ask preacher John Haley to write me again. That he know who wrote this: I'm the young boy who wanted autograph from him. Is he remember about me? Yours sincerely, Jan-Aaron Rabus.

Hello, we would like to share with you a brilliant idea for a 'pudding'. Chocolate cake with chocolate icing with strawberries, raspberries and cherries on the side, finished off with a large dollop of clotted cream. Perhaps when John returns from his sabbatical you will know how to make him feel that you are delighted to have him back with you. God bless you all! S & J.

Just a quick note from the Grace Houses. We loved hearing from John and especially the chocolate, biscuits and tea. Thank you to John and Catherine for finding the song. I love it. We are doing well and growing as a family and growing with God. Thank you to John for his kindness and wisdom.

It is a privilege to leave a comment on a site which represents the church where our friend, John Haley is the minister. Recently he visited us here in Texas USA. We saw Texas through his eyes as he: acted surprised about condensation running down the side of a cold drink in the heat...commented how warm it was on one of our cold days...went swimming in fresh water for only the second time in his life... the first time without freezing...drank iced tea and even liked it...taught us how to make "hot tea" without boiling the water in the microwave! It was a great visit, and we hope that we have the chance to visit you there in Plymouth some day! Your brother in Christ...Lawrence (of Arabia).

I just saw John at a family retreat in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He gave an animated, insightful presentation on holiness. Thanks for sharing him with us for a while.

It was good to visit you a couple of years back. I understand John is off to the USA; is that to forget Argyle's poor season, or to put on extra pounds, or sharpen up those evangelical skills? Anyway, God bless you all!

My favourite thing in the church was the sound of the organ pipes.
91 2 May 2006 Hannah Sansford Plympton, United Kingdom United Kingdom
In the Church I liked the idea of having a cross at the front of the church. I also liked the idea of having it in an octagonal shape. It was very different to St. Marys Church, it was different having the organ at the back.
90 2 May 2006 Charlotte Chapman Plympton, United Kingdom United Kingdom
I liked it when Anna held one of the flags.
89 2 May 2006 Isabel Wallis Plympton, United Kingdom United Kingdom
The church was very different from St Marys. I liked the cross at the front of the church, it was weird having the organ at the back of the church. The font was very small. John Haley was very nice he talked to us about the church.
88 2 May 2006 Joshua Walke Plympton, United Kingdom United Kingdom
I liked the visit to the church. The vicar was funny.
87 2 May 2006 Caitlin Jones Plympton, United Kingdom United Kingdom
In the church I liked the way it was set out. I thought it was a lot different to other churches I've seen. I liked the organ and that the gold pipes were ornamental. I liked the way the vicar, John Haley, explained things. I enjoyed the visit.
86 2 May 2006 Anna Hancock Plympton, United Kingdom United Kingdom
In the church I liked the way the chairs were set out. I thought the church was a lot different to St. Mary's because it was a lot more modern. I liked John Haley because he made the visit fun. I found out a lot about the church. Thank you for letting us visit.
85 2 May 2006 Daniel Mawdsley Plympton, United Kingdom United Kingdom
In the church I liked the organ. It sounded odd but good and I liked the church shape.
84 2 May 2006 Joshua Pinhey Plymouth, United Kingdom United Kingdom
I saw a very nice vicar.
83 2 May 2006 Aaron Hicks Plymouth, United Kingdom United Kingdom
I thought the vicar was funny. He was good on the keyboard. It was a very good looking church. I liked the organs.

I liked being chosen to carry the collection pouch.
