Our minister is available to conduct funerals in our church or at a cemetery or crematorium.
Our minister always meets the bereaved family before the funeral to talk about the life of the person who has died and to arrange an appropriate service.
We do not make a charge for the use of our church for a funeral service.
We try to offer support for bereaved people in the Plympton area. We invite all bereaved families that our minister has come to know through a funeral service to our annual memorial service on the evening of the third Sunday in November, where the memorial roll is read.
Each year we have guest musicians joining us for the occasion, in past years the Maestag Gleemen male voice choir, the choral group 'Reflections', Christian singer-songwriter Marilyn Baker and the Torpoint Lady Singers have taken part in the service.
Proceeds from the service are given to a specially chosen charity, recipients in the past have included Macmillan Cancer Research, local charity 'Jeremiah's Journey', the British Heart Foundation and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Our 2009 Memorial Service takes place at 6.00 pm on Sunday 15 November. Further details will be available at a later date.
